Without these "extraneous" fees Prospective Parents might expect Baby Miracles' agency fee to be higher than other agencies or receive fewer services or have less agency involvement, but quite the opposite is true. The Egg Donation Coordinator will guide and support both Prospective Parents and Donors through the entire egg donation process from start to finish (see "Services").

Egg Donor Compensation and Reimbursement

$7,000/up
First-time Donors receive a fee of $5,000. Repeat Donors set their compensation. Prospective Parents will be informed of the Donor's fee for each Donor in which they are interested.
Some Donors will require reimbursement of lost wages and/or childcare expenses. These amounts will be stated in the Contract between the Prospective Parents and the Donor and will be "capped".

Donor and Recipient Mandatory Accidental Health Insurance Policy
$400
The policy coverage includes (1) $250,000 medical coverage for the Donor and Recipient in the unlikely event that either experience medical complications (such as Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome) as a result of the egg donation procedure; and (2) $100,000 life insurance policy and $25,000 travel accidental death benefit.
In the event the Recipients' clinic includes the cost of this policy in the cycle fee, upon written verification, this cost will be excluded from the trust account deposit.

Psychological Screening
$250
Many fertility clinics allow for an out-of-state Donor to be psychologically screened by a screener local to her. Some clinics require that an out-of-state Donor travel to their site for a day to be medically and psychologically screened by them directly, in which case Prospective Parents should inquire about this fee with their clinic (it may be included in the Donor Cycle Fee). If this is the case, Prospective Parents will pay the clinic directly for this service and should expect to cover the Donor's travel expenses for this one-day trip.
Some repeat Donors have already been psychologically screened and may require no further screening (unless Prospective Parents' fertility clinic requires that they be screened at their location as well).
Legal Contract - Baby Miracles' Standard Egg Donation Contract The Prospective Parents may elect to have Baby Miracles provide its standard form Egg Donation Contract, modified to reflect the particular terms of their egg donation arrangement. Although no staff member of Baby Miracles can give legal advice, the form Egg Donation Contract is easy to understand. The Case Coordinator will review the terms of the Contract with the parties to ensure they understand its provisions. The Prospective Parents and/or their Donor may elect to have an attorney review the Contract, at the Prospective Parents' expense. Many Donors waive their right to independent legal counsel (particularly repeat Donors), thereby making the total $400. However, should the Donor elect attorney representation, the additional cost will be $350.

Some fertility clinics allow for an out-of-state Donor to be medically screened at a clinic local to her ("monitoring clinic") and others may require the Donor travel to their clinic to be medically and psychologically screened by them directly. In the latter case, Prospective Parents should inquire about this fee with their clinic; they will pay their clinic directly for this service and should expect to cover the Donor's travel expenses for this one-day trip.
Repeat Donors who have completed a recent donation may require little, if any, re-screening. However, some fertility clinics require that Donors be re-screened at their clinic, or may require additional screening tests that were not completed for the Donor's previous donation(s).

Fee Schedule Agency Fee: Due upon choosing a Donor. Upon Recipients selecting a Donor, she will be placed on "reserve" status for a period of five (5) calendar days to allow a sufficient amount of time for the Agency Fee to be received. Donor availability cannot be guaranteed beyond the reserve period.
Donation-Related Expenses: All expenses anticipated to be incurred for the donation cycle must be deposited prior to the Donor beginning the screening process. These funds must be held in a Fund Management Account by Baby Miracles, Inc.
Donor receives a portion of her compensation, in the amount of $500, when she begins her first medication injection. Donor will receive the remainder of her compensation upon completion of the egg retrieval procedure and return of any unused medications to the clinic.
Note IVF and medications costs are not included in this fee schedule. Prospective Parents should consult with their fertility clinic/physician for an estimation of these costs.
Disclaimer The above itemization of costs is an estimate only and not a quote. The actual expenses could be more or less. Fees are subject to change.
Refund Policy All agency fees are non-refundable. In the event that the egg donation cycle is canceled prior to retrieval due to verifiable medical reasons, failure of medical/psychological screening, and/or Donor incompliance, agency fees will be transferable to the use of another Baby Miracles, Inc. Donor.
