Information for Prospective Parents

By the time many couples decide to pursue surrogacy, they have been on an emotional roller coaster in their quest to have a baby. We understand that having a child with the assistance of a third party is not your first choice. The decision to take this path to parenthood may be one that was difficult to make and many couples approach surrogacy with a sense of apprehension. This is perfectly normal. However, once you speak with one of our knowledgeable staff members, you will have a thorough understanding of the process and, as you get under way, you will be surprised at how comfortable the option of a Fertility Assistant becomes. We never tire of hearing "this was so much easier than I thought it would be"!

In recent years, many agencies have popped up all over the U.S., most of which are legitimate and staffed by individuals who have a sincere desire to help infertile couples to become parents. Sadly, many couples have fallen prey to agencies that promise they will help them realize their dream of parenthood only to take their money and disappear, adding more heartache and leaving couples and their Fertility Assistant in a difficult situation.

Baby Miracles' program has been developed over a period of many years with an emphasis on affordability and minimizing financial risk without compromising on quality. We are dedicated to our clients having a positive outcome and all parties having an enjoyable experience throughout their journey. Despite being in business longer than most agencies, our fee is still one of the lowest in the country in order that agency-represented surrogacy with its inherent protections is an affordable option for more couples.

When comparing programs, here are some key aspects to consider (some of the following pertain only to egg donation or surrogacy):

When you contact us, you will receive a booklet that addresses every aspect of our Surrogacy Program that will answer most, if not all, of your questions. Of course, we are happy to speak with you by phone as well.

We hope you will choose Baby Miracles to be your partner in this exciting journey!

How long has the agency been in business and is the agency reputable?

How much is the Agency's Professional Fee and when is it payable?

Is there a significant difference in costs from agency to agency? (Surrogacy)

From time to time we hear something like "I received program information from another agency and they quote a significantly lower cost for gestational surrogacy, why is it so much less?" We've all heard it said that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Most costs associated with IVF and gestational surrogacy are fairly standard agency to agency. Review the costs carefully. Misleading advertising can be a tool for an agency to appear to be a less expensive alternative when, in fact, they may not have included an accurate or comprehensive itemization of the expenses which come to light after you have made a significant investment in the process.

Are there extraneous fees in addition to Agency Professional Fee and when are they payable? (Surrogacy)

Be sure when comparing programs that you are comparing "apples to apples". While an agency fee may appear competitive, pay careful attention to extraneous fees such as additional charges for criminal background checks, trust account administration, charges for psychological evaluations, and legal fees paid to the agency. Baby Miracles does not charge for any of these services and for costs such as psychological evaluations and legal fees, they are the actual amounts paid to the service providers.

Does the agency have a support program and, if so, when are the fees payable? (Surrogacy)

A comprehensive support program is an important aspect of any surrogacy agency. Investigate what services are provided and whether the support fee is payable in a lump sum up front or as your surrogacy arrangement progresses. If up front and your surrogate does not become pregnant, this can be a significant expense for which no benefit is received.

Who controls the funds?

All costs and expenses associated with the Surrogacy Contract, without exception, are placed into an account with an independent, bonded escrow company (in business over 50 years) to assure security of funds.
