FINANCIAL INFORMATION (Surrogacy)

SECURITY OF FUNDS
In light of an increasing number of individuals and agencies that have engaged in fraud, many couples are hesitant to pursue surrogacy. More than ever, it is prudent to select a well-established, reputable agency (one that has been in business more than 5 years is recommended).
Additionally, it is extremely important to verify that the funds deposited to pay your surrogacy-related expenses are safe. For the past 10+ years, Baby Miracles has worked with an escrow company that has been in business over 50 years, which holds a $5,000,000 verifiable bond to secure our clients' funds.

A significant financial commitment is required for surrogacy, which, for some couples, can be a deterrent to pursuing this otherwise wonderful option to start or add to their family. While Baby Miracles has been in business longer than most other agencies in California, we continue to offer one of the lowest fees while maintaining the highest of standards. Our program is unique in that no portion of the Agency Fee is paid until our clients have selected a Surrogate Mother, thereby ensuring our prompt performance in providing an appropriate and acceptable Surrogate.
At first glance, an agency's fee may appear to be lower than others, however, be sure that you are aware of all of the fees. A few items to look at are:
▪ Health Insurance Administration - Does the agency charge an additional amount to assist the Surrogate in obtaining health insurance and to facilitate payments of premiums, co-pays and deductibles relating to the Surrogate's health insurance?
▪ Psychological Evaluations - Some agencies charge a flat fee for mandatory psychological evaluations, which may or may not be the actual charges of the professionals.
▪ Funds Administration - Does the agency charge a fee to facilitate payments from the escrow or trust account?
▪ Discretionary Expense Fee - Does the agency charge a separate fee to cover their local travel expenses, postage, gifts to the Surrogate, etc.?
Importantly, be sure to pay close attention to when the Agency Fees are payable to determine what your total financial risk is (1) prior to matching to a Surrogate Mother, (2) prior to your Surrogate passing screening, and (3) prior to achieving a pregnancy.
